The Vivarium Store carries Wingless Melanogaster Fruit Fly Cultures ( Drosophila Melanogaster). and (Drosophila Hydei). The Melanogaster’s are about 1/16 of an inch in length and are a perfect staple food for many dart frogs. Drosophila Hydei is a larger fruit fly at 1/8 inches in size and are an ideal source of food for larger Dart Frogs, Amphibians, Praying Mantis and Baby Lizards. At this time TVS only ships in the state of Florida.

Drosophila Hydei
We carry 32 oz. Non-Producing Cultures and 32 oz. Producing Cultures. Non-Producing D. Melos are freshly started and will not produce many fruit flies for 12-14 days. D. Heidi evolve slower and will produce flies in 19-22 days. Producing Cultures are producing or will be producing within several days of your delivery.
